Equipment and workflow
Our field and lab 3D capture runs on FARO Focus terrestrial laser scanners, handheld 3D scanners for detailed part and component work, and drone-mounted LiDAR for large-area sites. Point-cloud data is processed through industry-standard registration and modeling software and delivered in formats suited for downstream reconstruction, simulation, and courtroom visualization, including fly-through animations, orthographic site plans, and dimensionally accurate 3D models.
Typical engagements:
- Accident scenes: roadway, industrial, maritime, or remote sites scanned in hours, preserving the evidence long after the scene is cleared
- Failed or recovered components: parts scanned to sub-millimeter resolution for failure analysis or reverse engineering
- Structures and buildings: full-building captures for settling, structural damage, or as-built documentation
- Vehicles: full-vehicle and subassembly scans for reconstruction and inspection workflows
