Senior Fire and Explosion Origin and Cause Investigator
Donel is a senior fire and explosion origin and cause investigator with over 33 years in fire investigation and close to 2,000 fires investigated. He has qualified in both state and federal court.
He previously served as a Deputy Fire Marshal with the Wake County Fire Marshal’s office, where his primary responsibility was conducting origin and cause investigations. His fire service experience is extensive and covers training, code enforcement and fire response across multiple North Carolina departments, including a period as Volunteer Assistant Chief with the Fuquay-Varina Fire Department.
